Purpose

• Formed of God’s direction and God’s will to seek the Lord’s strength to fulfill the foundational, biblical purposes of the local Body of Believers, the church.
• Our goal is to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to minister to and equip believers, and to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Spirit and Truth.
• Cornerstone Calvary Fellowship is dedicated to the Word of God, serving Christ, and caring for others.
• We seek the Lord’s will and strength to be welcoming, caring, unintimidating, inspirational, and devoted to the fundamental doctrines of Evangelical Christianity.

In worship of God we prayerfully seek to be:

• Spiritual, therefore we remain flexible.
• Inspirational, therefore we emphasize music, prayer, and sharing faith building experiences.
• Intelligent, therefore we place great emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God.
• Fruitful, we should be open to God using our time of worship to motivate us to acts of love and obedience then displayed in our everyday

 What We Believe

The Bible – We believe that the Bible is (not contains) the Word of God; both Old and New Testaments. That it is inerrant in the original manuscripts.

God – We believe in one God that eternally exists and reveals Himself in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ – We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human.

Holy Spirit – We believe that the Holy Spirit is a unique part of the trinity of God, equal to God, and distinct in role.

Humanity – We believe that all people were created in the image of God, but as a result of sin, humanity fell apart from God.

Salvation – We believe that salvation is a gift of God and can be freely received by any person who repents of their sin, and personally accepts the free gift of God in the form of faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our sin.

The Church – We believe that the true church is made up of all persons who are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Ordinances – We believe that God has ordained and directed in His Word the faithful participation of believers in two specific areas/activities within the Local Church:  Believers baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper Remembrance or Communion.

Satan – We believe scripture teaches of a real created being called Satan who has rebelled against God and fallen from heaven with multitudes of fallen angels under his dominion.  Both have been defeated by Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

Jesus Christ’s Return – We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church.  We believe that the visible, personal, second coming of Christ is imminent and pre-millennial.  We believe in the millennial kingdom to be ruled by Christ
